The options for rounding the currency and postpayment amounts are created for convenience when calculating rates. The parameters are used to calculate the amount of per-minute billing and postapaid sessions.
You can alter the rounding value in the admin panel by heading to Settings → Cash register and transactions.
- Decimal places of money – how many decimal places will be taken into account in all monetary values in the system (prices, balance). The default value is 4.
Important! After changing the “decimal places of money” parameter, be sure to contact our technical support team to restart the calculation.
- Rounding for postpayment – how many decimal places the total sum for the postpayment session will be rounded to.
An example of how the parameters work
The venue charges 100 USD per hour. In this case, the amount per minute is: 100 ÷ 60 = 1.66666. If rounding is set to 1, then one digit will be rounded after the decimal point.
So, 1.66666 when rounded to 1 will give 2 in one minute at a rate of 100 USD per hour. If the rounding is 2 (two digits), then 1.7 (1.70) will be debited. If the rounding is 3, then 1.67 (1.670) will be debited per minute. When rounding to 4 – 1.6667 (1.66670). And so on, depending on the set value of rounding.
