Armory Crate is a peripheral software generally designed for home usage. Because of this, some features, particularly those related to hardware settings, may require administrator rights to function properly.
Setting up Armory Crate for an administrator account
To use this software, you need to:
- Log in to a Windows account with administrator privileges.
- Check if UAC is enabled. UAC helps prevent malicious programs from damaging your system. You can do this in the following way:
-
-
- open the Start menu → Windows Settings;
- type UAC in the search box and click Change User Account Control settings;
-
-
-
- if notifications are turned off, drag the slider up to the Notify me only when apps try to make changes to my computer option (1) and save the changes by clicking OK (2).
-
Setting up Armory Crate for the client Shell users
- Log in to a Windows account with administrator rights (support).
- Grant administrator rights to the SenetUser account. This can be done in the following way:
-
-
- Type netplwiz in the Windows search box and press Enter.
-
-
-
- Click on the SenetUser account and select Properties.
-
-
-
- Grant SenetUser administrator rights and save the changes.
-
-
-
- go to the admin panel → Settings → PC restrictions for user and set it to No limits.
- Done! You can check the software functioning.
-
Note! |
The "No limits" restrictions for E-launcher let the user manipulate system parameters within the "Users" group, which can lead to problems with the security and stability of the OS. Therefore, for PCs with disks, it is recommended to use the Armory Crate software under the support account.
If you have a diskless system, setting "No limits" does not carry any risk, because all changes are discarded after the PC is rebooted.
