Crashes and freezes can occasionally happen in demanding games like COD, GTA V, etc. In most cases, such situations can be prevented by using the memory paging feature.
Memory paging is one of the mechanisms of virtual memory, in which some fragments of RAM (usually inactive) are moved to the hard drive, freeing up space in RAM for loading other fragments – memory pages. As a result, just the elements required for the ongoing process are loaded into RAM.
How to set up memory paging?
- Type sysdm.cpl in Windows search and run this file.
- Go to the "Advanced" tab and click on Settings under "Startup and Recovery".
- Turn off the automatic memory dump. Select "none" and click OK.
- Go to the "Advanced" tab and click the Settings button under "Performance".
- Go to the "Advanced" tab and click Change.
- Select "System managed size" and click the Set button.
- Restart your PC. Done!
