The game update feature empowers game administrators with seamless control over updates, eliminating the need for external tools or manual processes. By providing a user-friendly interface directly from the admin panel, our solution simplifies the task of keeping games up-to-date.
Game update requires the 15.0.10 version of E-launcher and the 8.0.38 version of SENET Boot Admin.
To be able to manage game updates, navigate to Users → Roles and user access and activate the Content update privilege.
You can enable the option of automatic game updates in all offices added to the organization, or you can manually start the update of the required content if such an update is available.
- If you want all content to be updated automatically as soon as an update is available, activate Automatic applications update in the organization’s settings and Save the changes.
Disable the automatic update option if you want to perform updates manually from the admin panel.
- You can control game updates by manually running them in Content → Game update. The number of games for which an update is available is listed above the Game update tab (the number is indicated provided that the automatic update option is turned off).
The update button is displayed next to the game for which there is an update. To update the game, click the Update available button next to the game you want to update.
- A modal window will appear, allowing you to run the update for one or all offices. To start the update, click on the arrows next to the desired office.
- If the game is installed, you will see the current version of the game as well as an available one. By clicking on the arrows, you will start the game update.
- If the game is not installed on the PC, the current version field will show “Not installed”. By clicking on the arrows, you can start the installation of the game on the selected PC.
- Done!
Updating games using the feature does not affect the client's session and game, even if the client is currently playing that game.
If you have disk-based PCs, setup instructions can be found here.
