The License Pool module allows users in Shell to launch games with preconfigured venue licenses. This way, players gain instant access to games without needing separate accounts on various platforms.
Supported Platforms
Steam Epic Games Battle.net Riot Games
Ubisoft Connect Rockstar Games Origin
ℹ️ How license pool works
The License Pool module lets players launch games using office licenses — no personal accounts needed. Add licenses (username and password), enable them for your offices, and connect them to a game(s).
Each license can only be used by one player at a time. When a player launches a game, the system automatically assigns the first available license. If a license includes multiple games, only one can be active during the session while the others remain unused.
💡 Best practice: Add one game per license to eliminate idle time, ensure instant access for players, and maximize your venue's license efficiency.
How to Set Up License Pool
To configure License Pool, go to Games & Apps → License Pool.
Click Add to create a new license key.
3. Fill in the fields:
Platform — select the required platform from the list.
Login and password — enter the platform account credentials.
Offices — select the office(s) where this license can be used.
Games — in the search field, enter the name of the game card from the selected platform and choose it from the list.
4. Click Confirm — the license will be added.
Managing Licenses in Game Cards
In a content card, you can additionally enable or disable each license linked to that game.
📌 If a license is disabled in any content card, a warning will appear next to that license key in the License Pool tab.
Personal and Venue Licenses
Enable Allow use of own license keys so users can choose between a venue license and their own account. The option is available when launching this game in Shell.
Editing and Sorting Licenses
In this tab, you can filter by office and platform, as well as search by game title.
Enabling and Disabling Licenses
A license can be deactivated, edited, or deleted.
To disable an account, click the Status toggle switch.
License for Auto Updates
If you use Game Update to update games from Steam and Epic Games, please make sure to enable at least one license key for each of these platforms.
Epic Games licenses
📌 Any Epic Games license you add must be added and activated.
🖇️ How to activate Epic Games licenses
Access Settings
In Games & Apps → Settings, you can manage access to venue licenses for:
unregistered users
users with postpaid sessions
Set the desired value and save changes to configure access.
Launching games with venue licenses
In Shell, cards with venue accounts are marked with a "key" icon.
When a game is launched, the system automatically provides the first available license, allowing a user to start playing right away without entering a login or password. Licenses are automatically distributed among users, so the same license cannot be issued to more than one player at the same time.
Important
Create separate license keys for each platform.
Make sure the game card is set to launch via the corresponding platform (not “Local”).
