If you use Epic Games licenses, you must activate them to enable game authorization and updates. Without activation, launching games and applying updates will not work.
 

Before activating, make sure:

1. The Epic Games path is configured

• Go to Games & Apps → Settings and specify the path to the Epic game folder, not the Epic Games launcher (without .exe).  For example, C:\ProgramFiles\Epic Games\

All PCs within the same zone must use one identical path.
For example, D:\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64 and D:\Games\Fortnite\ cannot be used at the same time within a single zone.

Epic Games licenses can be activated in either of the following locations:

• Apps & Games → License Pool tab.

• Any Epic Games card with added licenses.
   

How to activate licenses

1. Click the Activate button next to the Epic Games license in:

• the License Pool tab 

• or in the game card.

2. In the modal window, confirm the action to download a special application for activating keys.

3. After downloading, the button will open this application with an authorisation window.

   • Login and password are automatically filled in.

   • Complete authorisation by confirming the login, then the password.

4. After this, the key will be activated.
    

📌 If you use Epic Games accounts for authorisation and updating games, their activation is mandatory. Without this, the option will not work.
