The Apps & Games section is where you manage gaming content in the Shell client interface: configure settings, add games and applications, and make them available to users.
Below is a simple step-by-step process for setting up a fully working game card.
Where to start?
✔️ Set up tags and categories to organize content
✔️ Find the necessary games and applications in SENET or prepare a local card
✔️ Open the game card and assign venues and zones
✔️ Configure venue licenses if needed
✔️ Configure Game Update if needed
1. Preparation (important step)
Before adding games, you should set up the basic structure for organizing content.
Go to Apps & Games → Settings.
Create:
Categories — group content (games, applications, etc.).
Tags — help search and filter content.
This is the foundation of your content organization. Without it, maintaining your library becomes much more difficult as your library grows.

2. Adding a game or application
⚠️ Before adding game and application cards, make sure the content is already installed on the PCs or on the server (for diskless systems).
🔎 If you do not use Game Update, games must be installed and updated manually.
🔎 If Game Update is enabled (Premium subscription), the system can automatically install and update games after one-time configuration.
🔹 SENET library
This section contains ready-to-use game cards provided by SENET that can be quickly activated for your venue. These cards already include descriptions, icons, launch paths, and other preconfigured settings.
Go to Apps & Games → SENET library.
Find a game using the search or filters (1).
Turn on the toggle on the card (2). The card will automatically appear in the Venue library, where you can configure it further.
🔹 Venue Library
You can also add a new card from the Venue Library by clicking Add new.
⚠️ If the game is not available in SENET library
If the required game is missing, you can manually add a local card or contact technical support to add it to the centralized database.
Local cards must be configured manually.

3. Configure availability in Shell (important)
Open the added game card in Apps & Games → Venue library.
Configure:
Venues — where the game will be available.
Zones — in which zones it will appear in Shell.
📌 Without assigned venues and zones, the game will not appear for users.
4. Launch path (important)
In the same card, check the Launch path field.
Add or adjust the path to the game or launcher.
You can expand launch settings by setting additional methods (1) and launch paths (2) for different venues and zones.
⚠️ This field determines the location from which the system launches the game on the PC.
🔎 If you configure multiple launch methods for a game, users in Shell will be able to choose between the available options.
5. Venue licenses (optional)
Go to Apps & Games → License Pool.
Add platform accounts and assign them to the corresponding games.
The License Pool module allows games to launch using prepared venue licenses (game accounts). All major platforms are supported, including Steam, Origin, Battle.net, Riot Games, Epic Games, Ubisoft Connect, and Rockstar.

Within the game card, you can individually enable or disable accounts linked to that specific game.
Enable the Allow use of own license keys option to let users sign in using their own accounts.
📌 Click the Shell preview button in the upper-right corner to quickly see how the card with the current settings will appear in the Shell gaming interface.
6. Automatic game updates (Premium subscription)
Game Update is a module for centralized game installation and updates for Steam and Epic Games.
After configuring Game Update, you can choose one of the following modes:
Automatic updates immediately after a new version is released
- Manual updates at a convenient time through Venue library
Game Update is available for venues with a Premium subscription. The toggle is displayed for all subscription types simply as a reminder that the feature exists.
